Dear Collector,
Congratulations on your new artwork—and thank you so much for supporting my creative work. Whether this is your first piece or one of many in your collection, I’m thrilled to know my art has found a home with you.
This guide is designed to help you care for and enjoy your piece for many years to come. Since I work in a variety of mediums, you’ll find general tips here as well as links to specific care and framing information based on the medium of your piece.
Please handle your artwork with clean, dry hands—or better yet, wear clean cotton gloves. Avoid touching the surface of the art directly, especially with pastels or watercolors.
If your piece was shipped flat or rolled, carefully remove it from the packaging and let it relax in a safe, clean area away from moisture, direct sunlight, and pets.
Framing not only enhances the visual impact of your piece but also protects it from environmental damage.
Always use archival-quality materials: acid-free mats, UV-protective glazing, and conservation-grade backing.
Glazing (Glass or Acrylic) is strongly recommended for delicate mediums like watercolor, pastel, and colored pencil.
Avoid direct contact between the artwork and the glazing—use spacers or matting to prevent smudging or sticking.
Professional framing is highly recommended for original works.

Art mediums have unique needs. Select the appropriate guide below to learn how to best preserve your piece:
Watercolor Care Tips – Keep away from humidity, always behind glass, and avoid prolonged direct light.
Pastel Care Tips – Extremely delicate; avoid smudging, never touch the surface, always frame under glass with spacers.
Colored Pencil Care Tips – Light-sensitive; frame with UV-protective glass and avoid long sun exposure.
Mixed Media Care Tips – Varies based on materials; check specific guidance for handling and display.
To keep your art vibrant and well-preserved:
Avoid placing art in direct sunlight or near heat sources.
Keep pieces away from humid areas (like bathrooms or kitchens).
Hang at eye level in rooms where lighting is soft and stable.
Consider rotating art periodically to prevent overexposure.
Your piece may have arrived with a Certificate of Authenticity. Keep this document stored safely—it’s a formal record verifying that your piece is an original. If you did not receive a certificate and would like one, please contact me here.
Q: Can I display this without a frame?
A: Some canvas or panel works can be hung unframed, but works on paper (watercolor, pastel, etc.) should always be framed for protection.
Q: What if the artwork gets damaged during shipping?
A: Please reach out as soon as possible with photos of the damage. I’ll work with you on a solution.
Q: Can I hang it in a bright room or near a window?
A: You can, but use UV-protective glazing and avoid placing the piece in direct sunlight to reduce fading.
I’m here to support you in enjoying and preserving your artwork. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [Your Email or Contact Form Link].
Thank you again for your support and for giving my artwork a place in your world.
Warmly,
Angelica Jennings
